Biography

Signe is an Assistant Attorney at our office in Copenhagen, specialising in insurance and dispute resolution. She advises on a broad range of insurance-related matters, with a particular focus on coverage disputes, liability claims and subrogation and recovery matters.

Before joining SDV Fenchurch, Signe spent a decade in the insurance industry, where she developed extensive experience in complex claims, recovery and litigation. During this time, she progressed through a number of specialist and leadership roles, ultimately serving as Technical Lead for Subrogation. This background gives her a strong understanding of the legal and commercial considerations involved in insurance disputes, as well as first-hand insight into claims handling and the insurance industry more broadly.

Prior to entering the insurance industry, Signe worked at the Danish Ministry of Justice, Department of Civil Affairs.

Signe also has experience teaching insurance professionals at the Danish Insurance Academy.

Experience

Signe advises policyholders on complex insurance and liability disputes, drawing on a decade of experience handling high-value claims across a broad range of sectors. She has particular expertise in subrogation and recovery matters, helping clients assess liability, recovery prospects and litigation strategy in technically challenging cases.

Her experience includes advising on insurance coverage disputes under a variety of commercial insurance policies, as well as handling recovery actions involving property damage, construction, professional liability and other third-party liability claims. She regularly advises on complex issues of causation, liability and insurance coverage, and has extensive experience managing disputes from initial claim assessment through to litigation and settlement.

Signe also works closely with counsel and clients throughout court proceedings, providing strategic and commercially focused advice at every stage of the dispute resolution process.
