Biography

Aaron Alfano is Counsel in the firm’s Connecticut office, concentrating his practice on insurance coverage and complex civil litigation. He has more than 25 years of experience representing clients in high-exposure disputes involving property damage, construction defects, catastrophic injury claims, and other complex liability matters.

Aaron advises policyholders and corporate clients on a wide range of insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation and coverage analysis. He has successfully litigated matters in state and federal courts, as well as through arbitration and appellate proceedings. Throughout his career, Aaron has developed and implemented litigation strategies in cases involving significant financial exposure, achieving favorable outcomes in complex coverage and liability disputes.

Aaron earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, with honors, from Florida State University. He is admitted in all state and federal courts in Florida and is admitted to the roll of solicitors for England and Wales.

Experience

Aaron has spent more than 25 years representing clients in high-stakes litigation in Florida and other states. His experience also includes senior management in an insurance company, where he managed a large claim portfolio and led a team of claim examiners, special investigators, and subrogation specialists and provided strategic guidance on claims to upper management.

Aaron successfully defended subcontractors in multi-building construction defect litigation involving alleged damages in excess of $12 million. In addition, Aaron has represented insurers, including Underwriters at Lloyd’s, London, in multiple high-value arbitration proceedings governed by New York law, handling first-party property insurance claims exceeding $1 million per matter. His practice reflects a strong background in managing significant financial exposures, navigating complex disputes, and achieving favorable outcomes in high-stakes litigation and arbitration proceedings.
