Biography

Nina Catanzaro is an insurance coverage attorney in the firm’s Connecticut office, where she focuses her practice on representing policyholders resolve complex, high-value coverage issues. As a member of SDV Fenchurch’s team, Nina has both transactional and litigation experience across numerous lines of coverage, including first-party and third-party coverage disputes. Nina advises risk managers, insurance brokers, and commercial clients on risk transfer strategies at a national level.

Nina graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law. There, she was the recipient of a Merit Scholarship and was a Supervising Note Editor for the school’s Health Law Journal as well as the Vice President of the Health Law Society. Upon graduation, Nina was presented with the Excellence in Clinical Legal Education award and the Distinguished Academic Achievement in Introduction to Mediation award.

Prior to joining the SDV Fenchurch team, Nina worked as a trial division intern for Nationwide Insurance, an Employment Law & ERISA/Benefits Law intern for Prudential Financial, and as an intern at a small Connecticut litigation and transactional firm.

Experience

As a coverage attorney, Nina has used her experience to assist with negotiating terms of contractual agreements for risk transfer, negotiating language of policies to meet contractual requirements, negotiating settlements of multiple property damage claims, advocating on behalf of construction companies for builder’s risk coverage, and advising clients on breach of contract claims.
