Queenie Wong

Queenie’s practice focuses on advising policyholders on complex and high-value insurance coverage disputes across a broad range of sectors, including construction, real estate, manufacturing and infrastructure. She regularly acts on multi-million-pound claims involving technically challenging coverage issues arising under construction all risks (CAR), professional indemnity (PI), public and product liability (TPL) and property damage policies.

Before joining SDV Fenchurch, Queenie trained and practised at a global law firm’s Hong Kong practice, where she advised insurers on coverage issues and represented corporate clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings. Having acted on both the insurer and policyholder side, she brings a balanced and commercially focused perspective to coverage disputes, enabling her to anticipate insurer positions and develop effective strategies for policyholders.

Queenie advises policyholders on complex, high-value insurance coverage disputes across the construction, professional indemnity, liability and property sectors. She has particular experience handling technically challenging claims involving major development projects, product liability exposures and large-scale commercial losses.

Her recent experience includes acting for a Tier 1 contractor in a series of insurance-related claims exceeding £100 million arising from the design and construction of a student accommodation development in London. She has also acted for one of the UK’s largest privately owned developer-contractors in professional indemnity disputes worth more than £50 million concerning fire safety and cladding issues across multiple residential developments.

Queenie has further advised a US chemicals manufacturer on public and product liability claims valued at approximately £100 million arising from PFAS-related exposures, as well as a UK insurance business in a £40 million professional indemnity coverage dispute involving delegated underwriting and agency arrangements.

She also represented an insured in arbitration proceedings relating to an £8 million material damage claim following a major fire at a recycling facility.

Through her work on these matters, Queenie has developed strong experience in policy interpretation, coverage analysis, insurer liability and the strategic resolution of complex coverage disputes.
