Biography

Anna M. Perry serves as Managing Partner of the SDV Fenchurch Massachusetts office and focuses her practice on representing policyholders in insurance coverage and risk management matters. Drawing on nine years of experience as an insurance broker in the construction services group before becoming an attorney, Anna brings a unique perspective that allows her to understand the legal, business, and practical considerations companies face when evaluating and managing risk.

Anna advises clients on insurance and risk management strategies designed to protect their business interests, navigate coverage challenges, and maximize recovery when disputes arise. Her combined experience in brokerage and law enables her to provide clients with a comprehensive approach to insurance program development, contractual risk allocation, and coverage strategy.
A recognized resource on construction insurance issues, Anna regularly shares her knowledge with industry professionals on emerging coverage topics. She has presented at industry conferences, including the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), and contributes to discussions on issues affecting policyholders, construction professionals, and risk managers.
Anna is actively involved in the legal and business communities and is a member of the American Bar Association Litigation Section Committee, the Women’s Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the Providence Chamber of Commerce, and URMIA.

Experience

Anna represents policyholders in insurance coverage and risk management matters, helping businesses evaluate, structure, and maximize the value of their insurance programs. Her experience spans pre-litigation coverage analysis, claims advocacy, and insurance disputes involving complex commercial risks.
Before entering private practice, Anna spent nine years as an insurance broker in the construction services group, where she advised clients on insurance program placement, contractual requirements, and risk management strategies. This background provides her with a practical understanding of the insurance marketplace and allows her to approach coverage issues from both legal and business perspectives.
Anna advises clients on a wide range of insurance matters, including policy analysis, contract reviews, insurance program evaluations, and risk transfer strategies. She assists businesses in identifying coverage needs, negotiating insurance-related provisions, and developing strategies to protect their interests throughout a project or claim.
Her experience includes representing policyholders in disputes involving Commercial General Liability, Excess Liability, Builders Risk, Professional Liability, and Representations and Warranties coverage. Anna works with clients from the initial assessment of a coverage issue through resolution, including pre-litigation negotiations and litigation when necessary. With her combined experience in brokerage and law, she provides practical guidance on insurance placement, contractual risk allocation, claims management, and coverage recovery.
